Jeff joined Silver Lane as a Managing Director in 2013, and leads the firm’s depository coverage effort. Jeff has fifteen years of investment banking experience primarily focusing on merger and acquisition, capital markets and valuation activities for financial institutions.
Prior to joining Silver Lane, Jeff spent twelve years with Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, an investment bank where he specialized in the bank and thrift sector completing M&A and capital raising transactions totaling over $7 billion. In addition to U.S. depository transactions, Jeff’s experience includes several cross- border assignments with banks in Australia, Netherlands, Spain and India as well as advising non- bank clients including asset managers, financial technology companies, insurance companies and broker dealers. Jeff started his career at First Union Securities where he worked in their Financial Institutions Group.
Jeff is a regular speaker at conferences sponsored by Bank Director Magazine, Association for Corporate Growth, Illinois Banker’s Association, Subchapter-S Association as well as seminars held by several law firms, accounting firms and other industry trade groups.
He graduated with Honors and received his B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis. He received his MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management with a concentration in Accounting and Management Strategy. Jeff lives in Chicago with his wife and daughter. He is active in the community serving as the Board Chairman of Infusion Theatre Company.
